The newly opened Ciel Dubai Marina has claimed the title of the world’s tallest hotel.
The property, which opened on Nov. 15, 2025, rises 377 meters or nearly 1,237 feet, surpassing the former record holder, the Gevora Hotel, which stands at 1,174 feet and is also in Dubai.
The title is a fitting one. Ciel is the French word for “sky,“ a nod to the hotel’s soaring 82 floors. The Ciel has 1,004 rooms and suites, each with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offer views over the city. Rooms on the hotel’s higher levels have unobstructed views of the Dubai skyline and the Persian Gulf.
