Dubai Airports has confirmed that an incident occurred at Dubai International Airport (DXB) earlier today.
Four individuals sustained injuries as a result of the incident. They have received urgent medical attention, and their condition is being monitored. DXB said the emergency response teams were immediately deployed and that the situation was managed in coordination with the relevant authorities.
According to the authority, a concourse at DXB sustained minor damage in the incident, which was quickly contained. Due to contingency plans already in place, most terminals had been cleared of passengers. Dubai Airports assured the public that updated information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has issued a decision to suspend flight permits for gliders, unmanned aerial vehicles, and amateur aircraft for one week. The measure aims to enhance safety levels and protect the state’s airspace. More
